So
I'm back from my senior trip to Luxor and Aswan. Anyone who was in Fine Arts knows how amazing it is especially when you're surrounded by friends and each day our friendship becomes stronger ..
And ooohh myyy Goooooooood...ASWAN is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. The nile is actually blue ! yes i swear .. not as here in cairo .. its a very weird colour we have here btw! so now i wanna live in aswan, the weather is amazing, no polution, no stress no traffic .. no people compared to cairo .. looool you can actually walk all over town in 20 min.. and if u have a car then 5 min .. ALL OVER THE TOWN ! i take 20 min just to get out of my neighbourhood !
And the pharaonic temples!! wooooww.. our ancestors were proud people.. they appreciated and respected nature, they loved their country and their faith was so strong that their whole civilisation was built upon it..
last but not least my camera is not working anymore! it needs to be fixed! elhamdullelah the pics were on the memory card but i didnt have a cam for the rest of the trip .. and still wont have one for the next 2 months .. hamdulellah for everything

By all means this trip tought me alot of things ..
-I now appreciate my friends more than ever and I'm thankful each day that I have so many el hamdullelah   :D
-I now know that the lack of respect and pride we have today is what is making our country so weak
-I now know that you have a vision and you strongly believe in it you can make the impossible
- I now know that the only obstacle between you and your dreams is you

now im back ready for the final term in fenoon gamila .. i hope it all goes well
pray for me

always knew

I always knew what a great, huge and interesting history we - as egyptians, muslims- have. Each day I realise it more and more.
Today was one of those days.
I've been to a Mosque in el Darb el Ahmar ( Old Cairo) that i've never been to. It's called the Blue Mosque.
Starting my day wondering through the streets of old Cairo starting at Bab Zeweela (its one of the gates of old cairo). It was a prison and they used to hang the prisoners or enemies on the walls there, to be made an example to the people. Most of the well known and amazing mosques in old cairo where build in the times where the (Mamaleek) ruled, that is around 13th century and they ruled about 350 years.
ANYWAY the view of cairo, the architecture of the gates, the mosque... just amazing
down the street you'll keep finding old mosques going back to the mamaleek period in egypt. Again, the architecture, the stained glass works, the whole atmosphere is breath taking.
Until you reach the blue mosque. Its walls are covered in blue ceramics. Each piece with a diffrent design, yet together they make sense. The mosque hasn't been renewed yet, so looks about the same from the time it was build, more or less .. :)
If you live in Cairo, or gonna visit it soon, I advice you to go.
Sallam:D
